We were planning to go on a cruise leaving on Jan 31 and returning today but I got sick and we had to cancel. Had been in the hospital for three days on Jan 16 and got an inner ear infection while I was there. Serious vertigo.
So . . . no travel, no cruise, no trip of any sort for awhile. I am planning a road trip to Ohio/Kentucky but I cannot set a date yet.
Retirement is still tough in that I remain unfocused. It seems to be a little less painful now and that is probably because of antidepressants/antianxiety drugs. Lexapro and Xanax. One day at a time but it is a slow process.
Cannot wait for good weather and ability to at least take some enjoyable short trips.

Your blog is like reading our diary. Info: Retired after 36 years on the fire department. We were looking forward to traveling but our dog got old at the same time we did. So we refuse to kennel him for fear he'll die while thinking we abandoned him. Some retirement.
